Carcass
Loch Ness, Scotland - april 2006
Photograph #936
« It was my goal to go to this lake for this trip. I've always thinking of an isolated area, just with vans for mad scientists who were waiting for the Nessy. Despite of that, bunch of tourists and bus etc etc ... I can't find a proper place to shot. The access is not simple, and for the most common ones, there's was too much people, even in April. Finally while driving near the shoreline, I saw several meters under the road this old pier. My monster was here! After trying to go back to found it, I went through the forest near the shore. There was many carcasses, but from cars. Very strange area, no one here and all the haunting legends about it. I can't access without putting my shoes in the lake, too dangerous with all this metal for my feet. I finally place the tripod in the lake, me also, and try to deal with the low light around and the cold water. I took 3, this one was my selection.
I've asked many people what was this pier name and history but I still don't find anything about it at this time. »

I am lost in contemplation. I like the quietness the picture expresses. All in all it is the photographic art performed by black & white style that strikes me.
